About Sam - Founder of Improving People

Hello!

I pride myself on living life to it’s full potential and I have a habit of making opportunities wherever I can.

At the age of 35, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My children were just 4 and 6 at the time and I was navigating this life shock as a single parent. Over the next three years, I faced two further recurrences and significant treatment and today I am incredibly grateful to be healthy and thriving.

I have made it my life’s mission to make the most of what I have to offer and experience.

At my core, I know that time (and health!) is the most valuable thing we have and my lived experiences profoundly shaped my perspective. I believe that life is too short to waste on things that lack meaning - including training and development initiatives!

I have been fortunate enough to spend a great deal of my career working internationally, across multiple sectors. This has resulted in an authentic AND adaptive communication style which allows me to build ‘integrity first’ relationships, influencing positive and meaningful change - quickly and effectively- across diverse cultures, communities and countries.

I live in a countryside town outside of London with my two children, a teen and a tween, and our cat Nala.

I have published three children’s books, run two marathons and I have an insatiable thirst for learning.
